Flash Sales are my Favourite Part of a Long Weekend.
At the beginning of the long weekend, Aritzia shared a long weekend sale on items that ranged from their fall / winter to current spring collections. To be honest, was feeling a bit hesitant posting as the nature of these sales often cause items to sell out quiet quickly, so instead this post will emphasize on helpful shopping tips to get the most out of whatever you buy.
1. Natacha Blazer: ($228 CAD $149 CAD) A blazer is a piece that will never go out of fashion; it lends itself to casual, office and formal environments. Aritzia’s attention to detail can be noted from the use of tortoise buttons and floral lining. Their newer Japanese crepe material romantically drapes over most forms - elegance meets comfort.
2. Fawnia T-Shirt: ($40 CAD to $24 CAD) Summer is just around the corner, and we all know neon and bright colours will be everywhere, so why not get the head start? Fun to style for vacations or black leggings if that’s your jam. A well loved classic - just oversized and in a bright colour in time for #softszn.
3. Adidas Stadium Jacket: ($110 CAD $75 CAD) As a lover of outerwear and athletic wear, there’s no way I’d forget to include this jacket. Once again, something oversized and easy to throw on with a casual fit. Although I didn’t purchase, because I’m on a ban from black clothing, would have loved to see this in a neon or pastel.
4. Patricio Dress: ($148 CAD $73.99 CAD) I am all about the animal print mood in fashion at the moment - it reminds me of the fun 80s pieces I’d find when wandering into my mom’s closet. This piece tells me a story of a chic person who basically has everything together. Deliver a look wearing this dress with a sandal and a mini bag. Fire.
5. Jallade Pant: ($138 CAD $95 CAD) Ok if you haven’t had a chance to try on these pants and have an Aritzia in your area - YOU NEED TO TRY THESE ON. Aritzia has carried this style for a while, and until I saw it was on sale during the winter, it hadn’t occurred to me to give them a try. Guys, it’s just wow. The high waist slims and elongates - it is one of the most flattering bottoms I own.
6. The Teddy Coat: ($328 CAD $99.99 CAD) This is a show stopper; not for the faint of heart. Do you ever feel tempted to go outside as a blanket burrito? Well this is definitely the next best - and socially acceptable - thing. I opted for the red for the sharp contrast against most of my dark winter wardrobe.
7. Banff Wool Scarf: ($65 CAD to $19.99 CAD) Because you can never have enough scarves on the east coast.
I truly love all of these pieces, if my budgeting for Japan this summer was not on the table, would have picked up everything. So with that in mind I could only commit to the Fawnia T-Shirt, The Teddy Coat, and the Banff Wool Scarf. I know the cost per wear on those items are going to be so worth it! Feeling very excited for the package to come in, so I can start figuring out how to style them. Did you guys pick up anything from the sale? Any ride or die items you’d recommend?
